"I’ve been working as a consultant in heavy industrial design for 11 years, mostly focusing on infrastructure and bridge design. When the opportunity at Stegra came up, I couldn’t pass it up. It’s not every day you have one of Europe’s biggest construction sites so close to home, and Stegra is really a values-driven company that’s doing something about the climate while others are still just talking.

We’re using innovative technology and have some of the world's leading experts on board, which makes every day thrilling. My team is responsible for bridging the gap between design and construction, and as the project proceeds, so does the collaboration and the complexity. We’re constantly improving communication and ways of working, which is key to making this massive project a success.

I grew up in Gällivare, studied civil engineering in Luleå, and then decided to stay up north. We have all the seasons here, with activities for each one—kayaking, hiking and swimming in the summer, skiing, skating and ice fishing in the winter. It’s a safe, beautiful place to raise kids, and I love that we can spend the weekends outdoors, cycling, skiing or running in the forest. Just this weekend I was out with the kids and they were biking and picking berries – the autumn colors are just stunning right now."
