Meet Ellen Fredriksson – Logistics specialist!

Ellen Fredriksson grew up in Norra Svartbyn, the village next door to Stegra’s Boden plant, where she still lives in the house she grew up in, together with her husband, two kids, and three pets – two cats and a dog.
Growing up here, you live really close to nature. It’s special to be able to take a walk out in the meadow, or go skiing just outside the front door. The ski trails are maintained by the neighbors, and there’s a great sense of community here.

Before she joined Stegra, Ellen worked as a train dispatcher. “I really enjoyed my job, and my career was going well, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be a part of something like this, especially so close to home.”
In May of last year, Ellen traded her car commute into town for a short walk to Stegra’s construction site, where she works as a logistics specialist focused on the green iron plant.
The work is really exciting. It can be challenging and there are a lot of things to solve, but we have a great dynamic in the team and I’m learning more and more every day.
