“Joining H2 Green Steel was a no-brainer for me – I was going back to my roots in the steel industry, while continuing to contribute to the green industrial revolution! I have my roots in Wisconsin and worked for over ten years designing steel mills in the United States. But it’s a dirty industry, so I made a switch to something completely different – Tesla – hoping to use my skills for a greener and more mission-driven cause to leave a better planet for our next generations. I was part of their global gigafactory scaleup between 2018-2022, including the latest one in Germany.

I work with a team responsible for delivering the engineering, procurement, and construction of our megaproject steel mill in Boden. At the same time, we are building our organization, which makes it a bit of a is a double challenge for sure. But challenges and being “in the arena” motivate me. This is all about the mission and the team though. Our in-house project delivery team and our external partners are the experts, delivering innovation, proactive problem solving, decision making, creativity, and a mentality to challenge everything from every person involved. The team is what makes it all happen, I’m just incredibly fortunate to be a part of it.
