From H2 Green Steel to Stegra
We're changing our name to reflect our ambition – to decarbonize hard-to-abate industry for good. Powered by nature and technology, we produce green hydrogen to replace coal, turning iron ore into green iron and green steel. We start in Boden, Sweden, working at speed and scale. But this is just the beginning. Together, we're starting a clean industrial revolution.
What does Stegra mean?
A Swedish word meaning 'raising, stepping up, increasing'. It's a name that reminds us of our purpose – always pushing forward and challenging ourselves and others.
The Stegra story
Climate change is challenging society in unprecedented ways and we have to radically change our way of living. Heavy industry also needs to become more sustainable, and we are here to enable that shift. Our children and grandchildren are counting on us. We are pioneers of new industry, combining world-leading competence and experience with new methods and mindsets. Challenging old standards and creating a new kind of company and product, free from legacy and guilt. We're the first of the new.
The visual identity
We want our visual language to break free from heavy industry conventions, to explore new paths to the future. Our logo captures our vision in its simplest form. It's sleek, minimalist, and versatile. While our primary colors are black and white, we occasionally infuse energy into our brand with touches of purple. For an even more dynamic approach, we add other complementary colors.
