“It was so interesting when I heard that H2 Green Steel was building a new, greenfield steel plant. Many people in the steel industry, including myself, were very surprised and skeptical at first. This was an industry where we were shutting down plants, not building new ones. And the funny thing is that, compared to a couple of years ago, that has completely changed. More and more people are starting to recognize that green steel and green products are needed and in demand. Some of my former colleagues are even working for us as consultants, and others are asking if there are opportunities for them here. 

Ever since I started working with the steel industry almost 30 years ago, I have loved it, because it is so huge. Everything is massive. And inside I am still a boy who loves these huge things. Getting the chance to build a new steel plant is so interesting. Working at a startup I am learning more than ever before. Here we have so many cultures and ways of thinking, as well as a refreshing leadership style. I learn every day and I love that.”
